Full disclosure:
I don’t have a power point presentation. I am not a member of Toastmasters. I don’t own a suit and I use the word y’all. I also pronounce naked as neck-kid instead of nay-kid. But I am working on saying it correctly even though it sounds totally ridiculous to me. Still, at your event, it’s very possible I will pronounce it properly, so please don’t get too hung up on this. And if you are questioning why I used the word naked in a talk about mercy, your head might be veering towards the gutter. After all, one of the corporal works of mercy is to clothe the naked, pronounced, (nay-kid). See, I’ve got this.
On the upside:
I love to talk about mercy, about my year doing corporal and spiritual works of mercy, and how practicing it can change our lives and make the world a better place. I have spoken to both adults and children about this life-changing grace. I speak about how small acts can make a big difference, how serving others is not always what we think it is, and often, it starts right where we are with those closest to us. By sharing my experiences, I aim to cultivate an understanding of how merciful acts change lives, both our own and others.
